Nigerian oil tanker scam

Wow! I've finally hit the big time. I just got this email, I suppose based on
the Contact Me link at the bottom of the blog, which I've just changed so it
will never happen again.

Subject: REQUEST FOR VESSEL CHARTER
Dear Sir
We are applying for a charter of your vessel tanker FRONT FALCON or any available 300,000mt capacity vessel.
The payment and all logistics arrangement could be completed within a very short time provided your very laudable company response to us swiftly
While we assured you that your precious time will be adequately protected,.
Thanks for your urgent and good response
Thanks
O KAYODE SALAMI
-------
Once I stopped laughing, I forwarded it to Frontline's chartering department - just in case it was a serious request.

Subject: Fw: REQUEST FOR VESSEL CHARTER
Dear Frontline
I received this message in my personal email box today.
I have absolutely no idea how Mr. Salami got my personal
email address, but he is clearly mistaken about who to
contact at Frontline regarding chartering.
I suppose that as a Frontline and Ship Finance Shareholder,
I could be characterized as an "owner" of the Front Falcon,
but rather than charge Mr. Salami $4,500,000 in advance for
a ship I couldn't deliver to him, I decided to forward this
to you in case it was a serious enquiry - in which case as
a shareholder I'll benefit from the charter anyway.
Best regards, Bubba Warbucks

Naturally, the names have been change to protect myself.
Oh, and I replied to Mr. Salami, too.

Dear Sir>
I am not directly connected with Frontline, Ltd., but have forwarded
your request to their chartering department.
Good luck with your request, although I'm fairly certain you will not
wish to transport soybean oil on a tanker whose last cargo was crude oil.

Now I'm regretting not replying with a request for the $4,500,000
paid in advance to me...
